Pal-Riv Basketball Information Sheet
The 2017-2018 Basketball season is quickly approaching. We are entering year three of the PRAA basketball program and we are looking to expand some of the opportunities available to the boys and girls. Please read below for details and then you can register online or download the form from the link on the side of this page.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Focus is on basic skill development through drills and games. Most importantly we focus on fun for the kids and learning to love the game of basketball. Each kid will receive a Pal-Riv Basketball shirt.
Clinic on Saturday afternoons from Noon-1pm
Dates: Dec 2, Dec 9, Dec 16, Jan 6, Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb, 10 & Feb 24
Cost $35 per kid
2nd Grade: Focus is on basic skill development through drills and games (slightly more advanced then the K-1st drills). Most importantly we focus on fun for the kids and learning to love the game of basketball. Each kid will receive a Pal-Riv Basketball shirt. (If kids in 3rd grade do not feel ready to be on a team yet, they can join this clinic).

Cost $35 per kid
Riverline League Teams: For the first time we will be putting together teams and playing in the Riverline Basketball League.
· The Riverline League consists of teams from Delanco, Riverside, Edgewater Park, Burlington and Delran.
· There are leagues available for 3rd & 4th Grade Boys, 3rd & 4th Grade Girls, 5th & 6th Grade Boys and 5th & 6th Grade Girls.
· Riverline League rules state that each team has to have at least 7 kids and no more than 10 kids on the team. Our goal is to have a team available for every kid who wants to play. Depending on the number of kids who register and the number of coaches available we will have to adjust accordingly.
· The practices and home games will be on Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings at the Palmyra Community Center. Exact times will be determined once teams and coaches are set. There could be away games on other days during the week depending on the gym availability for teams we play against.
· The season will consist of 8-10 games with potential playoff games at the end of the season. Practices will start in mid-November and the season will go to the end of February with potential playoff games into early March.
· Each kid will receive a Pal-Riv jersey.
· Cost $60 per kid for 3rd & 4th Grade and $75 for 5th & 6th Grade. The higher cost covers the fact that 5th & 6th grade games have two refs and 3rd & 4th only have one ref.
We are excited to expand the program and hope the older kids will be excited about starting to play games against other towns. Due to the availability of middle school teams and the fact that we did not have many registrations at the 7th and 8th grade levels in previous years, we will not be offering opportunities for 7th and 8th graders this year.
