Pack 1999 Scout Bios for 2009 Crossover

TROOP 626
Marty Ohl / HAYATO ABO: Hayato joined Den 4 as a Wolf. His favorite scout activity was camping, where he enjoyed fishing, hiking and cooking. His most memorable camp out was at Lake Texana, which was shortened by heavy thunder storms and his tent was attacked by a group of raccoons. He’s looking forward to crossing over into boy scouts and doing more camp outs and outdoor activities.
John Hardin / STEPHEN CLARK: Stephen Clark joined Den 1 in Pack 1999 as aBear.He wanted to extend his YMCA Adventure Guide camping experience by "learning something" and has many memories while in Cub Scouts.Some of his favorites include winning team Pushmobile competitions, camping with his friends, building bikes with the Elves and More Organization, attending the Houston Natural Museum of Science workshop and the Houston Gem and Mineral show.He will be following his brother, an Eagle Scout, crossing over to Troop 626.He is looking forward to extended campouts as well as helping out his community through various service projects.
Marty Ohl / ROSS HARDIN: Ross Hardin became a Cub Scout as a Tiger in Den 1. He mostly enjoyed the parts of scouting having a competitive spirit, such as Pushmobile and Pinewood Derby. He also enjoyed campouts and den meetings with his friends. He plans to join Troop 626 and has high hopes to become an Eagle Scout and leader some day.
John Hardin / SPENCER JOHNSON: Spencer Johnson started in Cub Scouts as a Wolf. He enjoyed some of the activities and going camping. He has also attended Day Camp every summer since joining scouts. One of his favorite activities has been Pushmobile – especially the last 2 years. He is looking forward to joining Boy Scout Troop 626 so he can camp, do more fun activities and advance in rank to Eagle Scout.
John Hardin / AARON MATHEWS: Aaron Mathews joined Den 5 as a Tiger in 2004 andlater joined Den 1 as Webelos 1 in 2007.He earned numerous belt loops and activity pins as he worked his way up the ranks.He has thoroughly enjoyed the camping andHikingtrips he took withhis Den.One of his favorite events was the Pushmobile wherehis Den came in First Place for 2 years ina row. His other favorite events include the Pinewood Derby - planning, buildingand racing his cars.He has also developed a greater interest in bicycles after the yearlyElves nMore bicycle assembly that theydidduring the holiday season.Aaron is looking forward to crossing over and becoming a Boy Scoutin Troop 626 togo on more camping trips, including thetrip to Philmont Ranch.
John Hardin / JONATHAN OHL: Jonathan joined Pack 1999 as a tiger. He enjoyed camping and whittling the most. He also enjoyed some of the pack’s “special” meetings, such as the magician, law enforcement, and any activities with pizza on the menu. He has worked hard at earning a lot of belt loops, pins, and special awards, such as Texas Badge, Leave No Trace, Conservation and WEBELOs Super Achiever. He is looking forward to doing more camping with the Boy Scouts – especially winter camp.
Marty Ohl / ANIRUDH RAJAN: Out of everything I have done in Cub Scouts going to campouts, and achieving belt loops is the most exciting things I could think of. I also remember a time when I was a Wolf we had a Push Mobile Race, we didn’t win but it was so much fun trying. Oh and also when I was a Bear I remember doing the Pinewood Derby. I had won the prize of “Best Racer in Den”. The car I was using that year was called the “The Flaming Hornet”; it was the best car I have ever made. (At least I think so) But out of all these times my favorite was the campout to Yogi Bear Campsite; it was load of fun! There were Tennis courts, lots of equipment, and much more. These are the most exciting moments I can think of in my Cub Scout life. But I am also aware of all the exciting adventures that await me in Boy Scouts.
John Hardin / SAM TEARE: Sam Teare started as a Tiger Scout in Den 2, Pack 155 of the Buffalo Trails Council in Midland, TX. As a Tiger, one of the highlights was riding in the Midland Christmas parade and seeing his friends from school in the crowd. Also, Sam and his Dad got to camp at the Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch in the Davis Mountains of West Texas. After the family moved to Houston in 2005, Sam joined Pack 1999 and continued working towards his Arrow of Light.He really enjoyed the activities and camping and getting together with the other boys in his Den.Sam is looking forward to crossing over into Boy Scouts and being able to do more camping and adventurous activities with Troop 626.
Marty Ohl / CARTER TIESMAN: Carter joined Den 9 as a Tiger. The things he enjoyed most were the campouts and summer overnight activities (NASA and USS Lexington). Carter is excited about Boy Scouts and looking forward to campouts and high adventure trips.
Marty Ohl / AUSTIN WALKER: Austin joined Pack 1999 as a Webelo in the fall of 2007. Although he is very involved in numerous sports, Austin took to scouting quickly and never wanted to miss a den meeting. He loves to camp out and earn activity badges and belt loops and looks forward to crossing over and becoming a boy scout. His fondest memories in the last year were the camp outs, pinewood derby, and being with his friends.
John Hardin / MICHAEL WOOD: Michael Woodjoined Cub Scouts as a Tiger Scout in Lindenhurst, Illinois and transferred to Pack 1999 when we moved to Texas as a Wolf.Michael has enjoyed many of his scouting activities including Pushmobile, camp outs, skits, and different outings to variouslocations.He has learned so many different things through scouting including hiking, reading a compass, tying knots and woodworking. One of hisfavorite things is working with his den on different projects. His favorite last year was building bikesforthe'Elves and More' program.He found that experienceto be very rewarding.He hasreally enjoyed building his cars for Pinewood Derby races through the years.He has made many different cars and some that have won awards including a Scooby Doo (Most Creative) anda Boys ScoutSpace Shipcar (Most Boy Scout-Like). Still working on the speed thing! Michael is really excited to be crossing over to Boy Scouts and is looking forward to his adventures with Troop 626 as he follows the path to become an Eagle Scout.

Marty Ohl / DUSTIN COSSEY: Dustin joined Den 4 as a Wolf. He has enjoyed many of his cubscout activities and is proud that he accomplishedall 20 badges. One of his favorite memories is a campout where he adopted a stray puppy who has become an important family member. Dustin is looking forward to creating new memories with the boy scouts andmaking it to Eagle Scout.

Jeff Diaz / DAVID CASAGRANDE: David joined Pack 900 as a Tiger Cub and moved to Pack 1999 in 3rd grade. He has enjoyed earning belt loops and activity pins, and he particularly enjoyed camping, archery, and bb guns. David is looking forward to joining Boy Scouts and eventually becoming an Eagle Scout.
Marty Ohl / CHRISTIAN DIAZ: Christian joined Den 2 as a tiger and has enjoyed the activity badges,pins, and belt loops earned on the different ranks. Camping, fishing, rock climbing, and pinewood derby were his favorite. As a boy scout Christian looks forward to camping and rock climbing and summer adventures.
Jeff Diaz / NICK ELEY: Nick joined Pack 1999 in second grade where he earned his bobcat and wolf badges. He has enjoyed the campouts, archery, bb guns, and looks forward to the new adventures he will have as a Boy Scout.
Jeff Diaz / TYLER ELEY: Tyler joined Pack 1999 in second grade where he earned his bobcat and wolf badges. His favorite things about cub scouts have been camping out, camp fires and learning new things while earning his badges. Tyler is excited about the joining Boy Scouts and the many new experiences he will have.
Marty Ohl / ADAM FILES: Adam joined Den 4 as a Wolf and was so excited to be a part of cub scouting. He has enjoyed learning new skills and has become very confident in practicing them. Adam has had the opportunity to make friends and learn how to be a part of a team. He set a goal to get the Arrow of Light award and do it as a Super-Achiever-He did just that. Now as he goes on to be a Boy Scout he is setting new goals for himself and looks forward to growing new skills andsharpeningthose he learned through Cub Scouting.
Jeff Diaz / JOEY FUCHS: Joey started out in Pack 900 as Tiger Cub. He moved to Pack 1999 in 2006 and has enjoyed all the events of both Packs. His favorite thing to has been the camping trips and selling popcorn. He has learned a lot about meeting and talking to people and his confidence level has grown immensely since joining the cub scouts. He is looking forward to moving on to the next level and reaching Eagle Scout in a few years.
John Hardin / KELLER HERRIN: Keller Herrin joined Den 5 as a Tiger, and he has really enjoyed campouts and learning about the outdoors.He also has enjoyed attending den meetings and competing in Pinewood Derby.Heis excited about joining Boy Scout Troop 1333 and being part of their many activities.
Jeff Diaz / ALEJANDRO LONDONO: Alejandro joined Den 2 as a tiger and has enjoyed working on different ranks and earning the belt loops and activity pins. He loves to go camping and field trips. His favorite activities are pinewood derby and push mobile. He is looking forward to going on to Boy Scouts and he is willing to work hard to become an eagle scout
Jeff Diaz / BRADLEY MAY: Bradley joined pack 1999 in 3rd grade. He has enjoyed camping out and really enjoyed visiting the boy scouts camp out where he climbed trees, hiked and explored nature. He enjoys whittling with his boy scout knife and the bb gun. Bradley is looking forward to crossing over to Boy Scouts!
John Hardin / SEAN VALLEY: Sean Valley joined Cub Scouts in 3rd grade as a Bear and has enjoyed the camping weekends the most.Twilight Camp was a lot of fun for him and he especially liked earning the Archery and BB Gun belt loops.Being in the Dragons Den has been great and his favorite memories are winning 1st place for Webelos in the Pushmobile races for the past 2 years.He is looking forward to being a Boy Scout in Troop 1333, shooting rifles, summer camps and becoming an Eagle Scout.
John Hardin / RYAN WELLS: Ryan Wells joined Cub Scouts as a Tiger Cub back in 1st grade and went on some great outings like the zoo and even an art-car museum. His favorite memories of scouting were Pushmobile, Pinewood Derby, pellet guns, archery and of course, the campouts!We also had a great time building bikes for kids at Reliant Center the last couple of years. Scouting has taught Ryan a lot about leadership and service to others.
