NIH-NINR: Rural Dwelling Older Adults: CPAP Adherence Support
The primary aim of this randomized clinical trial was to test the effects of telemedicine and internet interventions on long-term adherence to CPAP ventilation in rural dwelling adults (>60 years) and their family caregiver. Cost analysis was traditional as well as efficiency. This study tested an innovative health care delivery system that improved patients’ adherence to CPAP and family quality of life. “Telehealth services to improve nonadherence: A placebo-controlled study”, Telemed J E Health, Smith, C.
