Letter of Nomination

Our nominee has a combination of energy and dedication that is rare, and he consistently performs beyond expectations of even the finest employee. He handles details that would otherwise fall through the cracks. He always does it efficiently, thoroughly, and conscientiously. The scope of his achievements is not limited to his job description. Some examples include: working the late shift, dealing with campus security, maintenance of facility and equipment, assisting co-workers to car after hours for safety, willing to help co-workers, and working extra hours when needed.

Our nominee consistently looks for better ways to do a more effective and efficient job. He is the consummate team player, constantly sharing ideas and energy to revise and revamp our operations. He is a person who is honest, efficient, punctual, thorough, and decisive, yet compassionate and caring. He keeps up on the latest changes in his field and seems to rise to the many challenges to his multi-faceted job. His efforts are described as the "highest level of perfection," and he is recognized as a bridge between his office and the rest of the school board offices.

I can honestly say that he is one who truly deserves an award for his excellence in service. He has made a difference for many people by his being here. He is someone who is looked up to by all and certainly deserves serious consideration for this award.

Administrator’s Letter of Recommendation

This Nominee had a very distinguished naval career before joining Santa Rosa School Board. As an enlisted sailor, he attained the rate of Senior Chief Aerographer's Mate and he was the first enlisted of his rate to qualify as Surface Warfare Officer. He received his Commission as Chief Warrant Officer (W-2) in March 1979 and retired from naval service with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (W-4).

He is a Husband of 42 years and Father of six wonderful children and the Grandfather for seven beautiful and loving grandchildren. He has been active in the community as a youth coach for both Basketball and Baseball. He has also been active in his church and helped start the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church Fall Festival and served as a Lay Minister. He is currently serving in the Knights of Columbus.

This nominee is currently serving as Night Mainframe Computer Operator. Many of the print jobs for schools must be run in the evening after the schools have finished updating student data. Many of these jobs are complex with unique requirements that are necessary to meet the needs from each school. These jobs are almost always on a tight schedule and are essential for key processes at the schools. For example, some of these functions are: student report cards, attendance cards, FCAT testing material and class schedule cards.

He also assists with routine security functions at the Canal Street Complex. Over his entire career with the School board he has done a magnificent job with these essential tasks. His sustained performance over this extended period is truly remarkable. He is always willing to assist co-workers and stays after hours when needed to provide reports on schedule. We are highly privileged to have an employee with this level of dedication to excellence.
