Memorial Scholarship
(Deadline: September 15)
One $500.00 scholarship will be offered annually.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must have been in 4-H at least five years.
2. Scholarship must be used for post-high school education.
3. Must be active (or have been active) in Bond County 4-H.
4. Applicant must be under 21 years of age.
5. Please attach a letter of acceptance or proof of acceptance to a post-high school institution including vocational, technical or college.
6. Winner of the Allison Langham Memorial Scholarship may not win the Ken Kennedy Scholarship in the same calendar year.
7. Award check will be made out to the school and student. Payment will not be made to after the fall session has started. Award will be applied to the spring semester expenses.
Format:
1. Application must be typewritten.
2. Cover sheet should include name, address, phone number.
3. Do NOT use your name anywhere other than the cover sheet. Put the last four digits of your telephone number on all other sheets.
4. Use a separate sheet(s) for each portion of the application.
I. List your 4-H accomplishments. (35 points)
II. List your community involvement or activities. (15 points)
III. Attach copy of your most recent transcript. (10 points)
IV. Please type a 250- 500 word essay (double- spaced) on “ How 4-H Has Influenced My Life.” (40 points)
