Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion Flip Book
Background: Newton has 3 Laws of Motion:
Law #1 Inertia – Objects at rest stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Objects in motion stay in
motion unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
Law #2 F = m ∙ a – The force on an object is the product of its mass and acceleration.
Law #3 Action/Reaction - For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Requirements:
You are to construct a flip book demonstrating one of Newton’s Laws of Motion. (See class examples)
1) Use the cardstock provided (or index cards if needed) to create a minimum of 10 cards.
2) The top page will be your Cover Page. The cover must include:
· The title of the Law that you are going to portray, neatly written
· Your name, date and section
· A colored illustration
· On the back of the cover page, you must write the definition of the law you are portraying.
3) Create a series of pictures (9 more cards) that will demonstrate the law you have chosen to portray. Neatness in your illustrations and overall construction of your book is required.
