NEW MEXICO NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS

New Mexico nonpublic schools are listed in this directory in the order of the public school districts in which they are located. Nonpublic schools, accredited by the Public Education Department (PED) through an approved educational accrediting agency, must meet the educational standards of the agency. Accredited schools appear in bold print in the blue heading box, and the respective accrediting agency appears under the column heading of Accredited. The enrollment listed in the Student column indicates the number of students reported on the fortieth (40th) day of the previous year. Unless otherwise specified, the area code for phone numbers is 505. Note: If a school’s fax number is the same as the telephone number, call before faxing.

Nonpublic schools, which are not accredited, are recognized by the PED as private schools when the schools submit attendances reports to the NM PED.
