A Message from Gary McGuire

School of Continuing Education

I want to cordially welcome all of our students, staff, instructors and community to the new North Orange County Community College District’s (NOCCCD) Anaheim Campus! With the opening of this new campus, the School of Continuing Education now boasts four campuses to serve the North Orange County community!

Our dreams of building a new campus in the Anaheim area have finally come to fruition and now the NOCCCD will be the only public higher education institution in the City of Anaheim. Our staff, faculty and administrators have designed this new campus to completely serve the needs of the community. The campus location and program offerings are based on our research. Many opportunities to continue your education await you at the Anaheim Campus – computer training, English-as-a-Second-Language, family literacy, Kids’ College, parenting, home decorative arts, High School Diploma completion, vocational programs and corporate training services.

In addition to these programs, college credit courses from Fullerton and Cypress Colleges will also have a home at the new Anaheim Campus. Dr. Michael Viera, Fullerton College President, is excited to offer a variety of general education courses at the new facility. And Dr. Marjorie Lewis, Cypress College President, is excited about the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities built specifically for the Hotel, Restaurant, and Culinary Arts Program.

The School of Continuing Education is looking forward to a long and successful history in its new home base in Anaheim. We are pleased to be in your neighborhood!

FROM OUR

STUDENT SUCCESS SERIES #4

Happy with her career in the environmental assistance field, Wilhelmina Arenas wanted to stay current in her knowledge of the industry. She enrolled in an 8-hour Hazardous Materials refresher course with the School of Continuing Education’s Training and Development Institute. Today, Wilhelmina not only provides companies with environmental compliance assessments, but she handles their hazardous materials and responds to biological and chemical emergencies.
Just a few of the School of
Continuing Education job training programs:
Hazardous Materials, Early Childhood Education, Digital Arts/Web/Multimedia, Construction, Management, Geographic Information Systems AND MUCH MORE!
