It is time to think about participating in the second annual National Wooly Willy Wonderdaze at Hamlin Lake Park in Smethport, featuring: Family Fun, Food, Live Entertainment, Amusement Rides, Arts & Crafts booths and more.

We extend this invitation to you to give you an opportunity to be one of the first to reserve your space for the 2010 Festival. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Individuals will be responsible for all state and local taxes. This year there will be a flea market on Saturday, June 26 beginning at 7am.

All groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals are invited to participate in the National Wooly Willy Wonderdaze event. This will be an annual event and we are planning for a huge festival this year. Please email immediately to be sure of a reserved spot, as space is limited.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Smethport area businesses to make money in two locations at the same time. Even if you simply display information in a booth that lets folks know about your business, this will help your business grow. We expect large crowds to come to the Fireworks, Car Show, Street Dance, Carnival and other events of the festival.

This application includes:

1. An Information Sheet: States the rules and requirements for all vendors.

2. A Contract Form: Vendors fill out the contract, sign it, and send payment to the address on the bottom of the contract.

The National Wooly Willy Wonderdaze runs from Tuesday, June 22 starting at 5pm and ends at midnight on Saturday, June 26.

Parade registration forms will be provided for any one who would like to participate in the Main Street Parade. If you have any questions concerning the parade, please contact me. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this fun event.

Flea Market (New Addition to the festival): On Saturday, June 26th there will be a Flea Market/Bazaar beginning at 7am. The cost is $10 to register and participants are required to bring their own table. Please check the box indicating flea market on the registration form.

Information and Rules:

The Festival is a 5 day event; starting Tuesday, June 22nd and continuing through Saturday, June 26th. See the Vendor/Exhibitor Contract Form for set-up schedule. The Festival ends with the Main Street Parade on Saturday afternoon, June 26th, starting at 4PM. Your booth can close prior to the start of the Parade. Alternatively, please have coverage for your booth if you are participating in the parade or would like to enjoy it on the side lines.

The Smethport Festival Committee will not be liable for lost, stolen, or damaged merchandise.

All vendors are asked to stay the full 5 days of the Festival. No vehicles will be allowed to come or go on park property after 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday to ensure the safety of the public, as well as to the vendors and their property. The only exception will be for participants in the Saturday car show.

Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

Check Fees: A $25.00 fee will be imposed on any returned checks for NSF or closed accounts, plus any additional bank charges incurred by the Smethport Festival Committee.

Children must be kept under supervision at all times. Please no skateboards, bicycles, or scooters on the sidewalks after the Festival open.

All animals must be kept in a kennel or on a leash at all times. You are responsible for the actions of your pets so please clean up after them. The Smethport Chamber of Commerce will not be held responsible if your animal injures someone or does damage to anyone’s property.

Vendors are responsible for the cleanliness of their area during and after the Festival. Please be a good neighbor and keep your space and surrounding area neat. Please dispose of, or take all belongings with you when you leave on Sunday. Garbage and trash should be bagged and boxes broken down and moved to the appropriate disposal areas. Please do not leave this for the Borough or the Chamber to dispose of for you!

Food Vendors, please be sure that all food, paper, litter, and scraps of food around your booths are picked up and disposed of properly at the end of each day. All permits and licenses must be available for inspection before and during the festival. It is your responsibility to check with the city license and the health departments to see what forms are required.

Note: As part of our fundraising efforts, the Smethport Festival Committee has “exclusive” rights to the sale of bottled water during the festival. No one else participating in the festival is allowed to sell bottled water without prior written approval from the Smethport Festival Committee. Our carnival company reserves the exclusive right to sell popcorn, funnel cakes, cotton candy, sno-cones, and candy apples.

Location: 12ft x 12ft space on Hamlin Lake Island. Location assignments will be announced on Tuesday morning, June 22nd. Additional space is available for additional fee.

Fees: Non-Refundable; $25 fee for non-profit vendors/exhibitors; $40 fee for commercial vendors/exhibitors and $10 for Flea Market/Bazaar participants (table not included)

Notification: Upon receipt of this completed application and fee, vendor/exhibitor will be notified of admittance to the National Wooly Willy Wonderdaze.

Permits/Licenses: Vendors are responsible for obtaining and posting a business license or sales permits.
