APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Congratulations! You have been recognized as a top Career and Technical Education student as Reagan High School. You may be eligible for membership in the Reagan Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. Your selection will NOT be finalized until you have successfully complete and turn in the completed application items in this packet by the due date and you have gained acceptance by the NTHS selection committee for membership. New members will be honored at the NTHS Induction ceremony, time and place will be indicated on their acceptance letter.
Next steps:
1. Read the membership requirements thoroughly.
2. You must meet the both, academic and CTE GPA requirements, attendance policy, proficiency test, and discipline.
3. You must submit teacher recommendation requirements.
4. You will need to verify your activities/service history, complete the other required forms
5. Turn in complete document on or before the deadline date and time.
6. COMPLETELY fill out the application for membership. This includes all signatures and a full essay! Be sure to include everything you have done at school and the community.
7. Be certain to turn in your completed application no later than 4:00 p.m. Monday, MARCH 3, 2014. LATE FORMS WILL ELIMINATE YOU FROM FURTHER CONSIDERATION FOR MEMBERSHIP.
If Accepted:
- You must maintain, academic and CTE GPA requirements, attendance policy, proficiency test, and discipline.
- Must be a member of a CTSO (FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, TSA) every year you are a recognized member of NTHS
- You must complete 4 hours of job shadowing each year you are a member.
- Attend meetings and functions sponsored by Reagan’s NTHS

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
GPA: 3.50 GPA in Career and Technical Education courses
3.25 GPA Weighted overall while enrolled at R.W. Reagan High School.
ATTENDANCE: Should be in compliance with WSFCS Attendance
Policy
PROFICIENCY: All requirements must be met for North Carolina Proficiency Test (End of Year VoCats)
DISCIPLINE: No disciplinary suspensions (in school or out of school).
SERVICE: Activities are considered that have been completed during grades 9 - 12. A Reagan student demonstrates service by taking an active role in the program's Career-Technical Student Organization (DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, Skills USA), participating in other Reagan organizations, a student athlete, being employed, participating in service projects, and by taking an active role in the community or church.
RECOMMENDATION: Three Candidate Instructor Nomination Forms completed. (One must be a CTE Teacher and 2 others of Student’s Choice.)
DEADLINES: All deadlines must be met for turning in forms. MARCH 3, 2014.
FORMS: The student, parent/guardian, and teachers must sign The Intent to Participate Form.
FEES: There is a one time fee of 25.00 that goes to the National Office for the National Technical Honor Society. This fee covers the membership package which includes the certificate and various memorabilia. A 25.00 check must be included in your packet. If your application is not approved by the selection committee the check will be returned to you.

Additionally, we waive the right to inspect and/or approve the finished product and the use(s) to which it will be applied. Furthermore, we release the Ronald Wilson Reagan High School from any future liability or compensation claims associated with the use of said photographs/videos.
