NOMINATIONS
for
2015 FALL CONFERENCE PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARDS
(Cost categories: $10 to $20 million and over $20 million)

The Nevada Chapter of the American Public Works Association supports and recognizes the special achievements of those public or quasi-public agencies, which are engaged in the construction of Nevada public works projects. One such recognition is the selection of the PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARDS at the APWA NEVADA FALL CONFERENCE.

Interested agencies or their representatives are asked to nominate (by completing the attached nomination form) one or more project(s) which they managed that were substantially completed in calendar year 2014. Substantial completion for the project shall be deemed to be the point at which the project can be safely and effectively used by the public without delays, disruption, or other impediments.

The Fall Conference Project of the Year Awards will be based on presentations evaluated at the Fall Conference. The nominated projects are evaluated on the basis of: service to the public, community need, intricacy of design, aesthetic consideration, difficulty of construction, cost growth and time growth, and complexity of financing. The project presentations shall be 10 to 15minutes in length.

The winning projects will receive a personalized plaque, which will be presented to the responsible agency as soon as possible after the close of the conference.

What is required to nominate a project is a brief project resume, submitted on the attached nomination form, and a project presentation at the conference.
