Creating a myPIRSA account

Registration is essential before you can use any of the myPIRSA services.

Please note: this service is only compatible with the most current versions of internet browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Follow the steps below to create a myPIRSA account.

· Type the following URL to access the myPIRSA launch page:

http://pir.sa.gov.au/top_menu/services/mypirsa

· From the myPIRSA web page, click the Register as a new user link.

· Read and accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking the associated check box. Only by agreeing with these Terms and Conditions will you be able to create a myPIRSA account.

· After accepting the Terms and Conditions, enter and confirm your email address. Un-tick the box underneath the email address fields and then select the Submit button at the bottom.

· An email will be sent to your nominated email address with a system generated password and a link to the myPIRSA login page. You will not be required to change this password; however it is highly recommended that you do so as an additional security measure.

Logging into myPIRSA

· From the myPIRSA web page, click the Login as an existing user link.

· Enter your email address and password (your password will be as supplied in the email confirmation after creating your myPIRSA account).

· As terms and conditions are subject to change, it is a requirement to read and accept the latest version at each login. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions.

· Un-tick the “Please un-tick this box to continue” box and select the Login button.

Once you have successfully logged into myPIRSA you will see the myPIRSA home screen which consists of two tabs:

· The ‘My Services’ tab which allows you to:-

o see and access your approved service(s)

o apply for a new service

o view services you have applied for and waiting approval

o remove a service that is no longer required

· The ‘My Profile’ tab which allows you to:-

o update your personal details (e.g. address, phone number etc)

o change your password


Applying for a myPIRSA service

· In the ‘My Services’ tab select ‘Generate a Quota Balance Statement’ link.

· You will be required to provide challenge response answers to the following questions. You must complete this section before you can apply for a service. This will be the only time you need to submit your challenge response questions.

The Challenge Response questions will be used to verify that you are the owner of your myPIRSA account, should you ever forget your myPIRSA password and need to reset it.

· Enter your responses and select submit.

· Once your challenge responses have been successfully submitted, you will be able to apply for a new service. The email address that was provided to create this service will be pre-filled and cannot be changed.

· Enter your personal details in the fields provided. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory fields and must be entered.

· Select your Licence Type (Blue Crab, Central Zone Abalone etc.)

· Enter your Licence Number.

· Tick the ‘Tick this box if you are the owner of the Registration or Licence’ box. Although not presently in operation, this box is designed for future functionality.

If you have multiple licences you will need to apply for a service for each licence.

Note: for each additional service you apply for your personal details will be automatically entered. To update personal details see ‘Updating my profile’.

· After you have applied for a service you will automatically return to the myPIRSA home page.

· On the myPIRSA page you will see which service(s) are in the process of being approved.

· Your application must be approved by a Leasing & Licensing Officer before the requested service(s) can be accessed.

Approved services will receive the following email notification.

· Now that the service has been approved, your quota balance statement can now be generated.


Applications that have been denied will receive the following email notification.

Generating a quota balance statement

· From the myPIRSA web page, click the Login as an existing user link.

· Enter your email address and password.

· On the myPIRSA home page, select the ‘Quota Balance Statement’ service required.

· Select the period (current or previous).

· Tick the ‘I have read and accepted these details’ box.

· Select Continue to generate

· To open the Quota Balance Statement, select the internet explorer open option.

Please Note: A similar selection will be required if you are using the Firefox web browser.

Removing an approved service

If a service is no longer required, it can be removed from your myPIRSA account.

Updating my profile

After logging into myPIRSA you can update your personal details and change your password.

· Select the My Profile tab

· Select the update personal details link.

· Select Submit

· Enter your existing password

· Enter the new password twice

· Select Submit

What happens if I forget my password?

Your password can be reset, by selecting the ‘Forgot your password’ link on the myPIRSA login page.
