5th ANNUAL JURIED PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
Show dates: April 9 – May 7th, 2010

Announcing Morpho Gallery’s annual photo exhibit, now in its fifth year. Entries are now being accepted. Size limitation is 36” maximum in any direction, framing included. Original photography only, any medium including digital and alternative processes are acceptable.
Entry fee: $25 for three images, $5 for each additional image, limited to five per person.
Jurying will be done from on-line jpg images, submitted with the completed entry form and entry fee paid through Paypal (see details below). The official entry form can be downloaded at www.morphogallery.com/links.htm (on the links page). Entries will also be accepted by mail on slides or CD, accompanied with the entry form and check, mailed to Morpho Gallery at the above address.
Award: First place award is a month long solo exhibition sponsored by Morpho Gallery, including an opening night event, postcards and advertising.
Juror: Chicago based location photographer and teacher, David Joel has been creating images as a professional photographer for 25 years, traveling extensively on assignment, creating visual adventures. He has provided images for annual reports and advertising for major corporations, foundations and not-for-profit organizations worldwide. David has also been a teacher and a consultant on visual, photographic and web design topics. He is an expert critiquer of photos having conducted numerous master classes and portfolio reviews.

Morpho Gallery prides itself in seeking talented artists who are on the cusp of being discovered by the mainstream art community. We invite local artists to exhibit their work in a creative and non-competitive atmosphere where artistic experimentation and development are encouraged. By creating a blank palette inside the gallery, we offer infinite possibilities for an array of colors, textures and media to come together. Morpho Gallery also offers leasing packages at affordable rates to groups and individuals who wish to stage their own shows.

Entry Check List:

Digital entries: Send as jpgs on a disk and mail with the entry form. Images should be standard format, no larger than 1.5 mb. The images must be titled and numbered to correspond to entry form and the artist’s name must be on the disk, clearly printed. Up to five digital images may be submitted. If you want your disks returned, you should include a stamped self-addressed return envelope with sufficient postage.
On-line entries: Email to as jpgs along with the entry form. Images should be labeled with your name and image title, corresponding to the entry form. If entering on-line, payment must be made through our Paypal.com, sending the payment to .

( ) Entry Fee: There is a $ 25 non-refundable entry fee for three images, an additional $5.00 per image for up to five images. Please make check or money order payable to: Morpho Gallery or pay through Paypal for on-line entries.
( ) SASE: Please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage if you’d like us to return your CDs. We will not return them unless this is included!
Artist’s Guidelines:
Work must be framed, ready to hang and a label affixed to the back with the artist’s name and title of work and must be professionally presented. Morpho Gallery reserves the right to reject any artwork that is deemed unsuitable, including but not exclusive of work not ready to hang or unprofessionally presented. All accepted work must be for sale and will be subject to a 15% commission if sold.
Morpho Gallery will use all reasonable care in handling entries but assumes no responsibility for damage or loss. Submitted images may be used for exhibition purposes and publicity.
