MOBILE HELPER WINCH SPECFICATIONS

Winch shall incorporate direct drive ( no chain in power train ) with enclosed gear reduction operating in oil bath and carry Class 1 service rating by AGMA standards. Winch to operate on 208 volt three (3) power. Winch drum to be of steel construction and machined to accommodate hauling line and having root diameter exceeding by approximately 10 percent the minimum set forth by Federal Specification No. RR-R571a, Table XLVI, related to the size and construction of running cable. Supporting base and framing for the winch unit is to be of steel and castered, designed to absorb the imposed static and dynamic loads, plus a liberal factor for safety and arranged for clamping the winch unit to steel support members at the reaction tubes. Winch shall incorporate one (1) brake. One brake shall be a spring applied electrically released unit operating on the motor shaft and of sufficient torque to stop and hold static the design load of the winch. This brake is intended for serving normal operation of the equipment. Winch shall have mounted in it’s framing structure, a magnetic reversing starter with electrical and mechanical interlocks, an operating station for “Service” Mode, and a power disconnect switch. Machines are to be internally wired to a labeled terminal strip properly enclosed and with the labeling corresponding with the wiring diagram to be furnished by Tiffin. Starter Box to be UL listed.
