Mitchell Study Guide

Ok, you’ve made it to Chief, you’ve done the speech, now what? The last thing you need to do is to take the Billy Mitchell test.

The Mitchell test is divided into 3 parts:

Leadership

Aerospace

Other Stuff

There is about 45% Leadership, 45% Aerospace, and 10% other stuff.

For the leadership, you should go back and study all the previous chapters. This includes the special readings. You should also go back and study with the review guides here and take the leadership practice tests here. Be sure you know all the concepts explained.

The aerospace is a little trickier. It has many more concepts that are explained and should not be dealt with lightly. Again, go back and re-read the six modules. Be sure you study with the AE review guides and take the online AE tests.

The 10% other stuff is found chiefly in the CAP regs. I won’t tell you exactly where to look, but the regs you need to review are: CAPR 39-1, CAPR 39-3, CAPM 52-16(old version), and CAPR 52-16(old version).

Be sure to study this for AT LEAST two weeks. I studied for a solid month this way and passed with flying colors.
