Minneapolis Special Education Teacher Residency is a partnership between Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) and the University of St. Thomas (UST). By applying to the program you are applying to both institutions and your application will be reviewed by representatives from MPS and UST.

This aspect of the application process is intended to measure your written communication skills as well as your ability to consider and apply abstract thinking processes. There are no right and wrong answers; the focus is on clear thinking and writing. This essay will be used as part of the determination for your scholarship award from University of St. Thomas. Your response should be no more than 500 words (1 page single spaced, 2 pages double spaced).
