Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the processing laboratory including restocking of supplies in the lab and maintaining adequate supplies needed to process crime scenes and develop latent prints in the lab, responsible for the purchasing of supplies for the crime scene section which required soliciting bids and price quotes from vendors to obtain goods and services at the most reasonable cost, submitting the paperwork for payment of supplies, work orders and contracts in a timely manner and tracking the payment progress after receipt of supplies from vendors for payment.

Trace Evidence Examiner

Responsible for the examination of evidence for trace evidence. Duties included the examination of evidence (i.e. clothing, bedding, doors) for gunshot residue in order to determine weapon to subject distance, the examination of evidence for hairs and fibers, preparation of technical reports, billing of services and expert witness testimony. Received training in the areas of fire debris analysis and the comparison of hairs and fibers. I also acted in a supervisory role in the training of new personnel.

Forensic Specialist II

Provided a supervisory role within the Crime Scene Bureau by responding to major crimes scenes and delegating out crime scene responsibilities as was necessary, supervised the training of new personnel within the Bureau, supervised the section when the section supervisor was out of town and provided specialized and technical crime scene processing, fingerprint identification and comparison, forensic photography and documentation.
