Taking any standardized test can be difficult, especially if some time has passed since you sat in a classroom and were asked to write an essay. This preparation program will lead you through a review of basic grammar and the mechanics of writing, focusing on the 5-paragraph essay and the development of the responsive essay. Practice with VTEL type questions and scoring rubrics will offer test takers an opportunity to become familiar with the process and gain confidence in the ability to do well on the VTEL.
This course is a 3-session review of the mechanics of writing, grammar review, and spelling. Emphasis will be on the development of the 5-paragraph persuasive essay and the development of the responsive essay.
