Overview

Mark reporting is synonymous with grade reporting. You will use TeacherConnection to submit marks for your students. This information is designed to walk you through the process of submitting marks. This packet includes:

·  Timeline and due dates (see below)

·  Directions for submitting marks (pp.2-3)

·  Directions for printing a mark verification report (p.5) and a list of comments (p.6)

How to Submit Marks for Your Students

The process for submitting marks in TeacherConnection is similar to posting attendance. You will log into TeacherConnection, select a period, select a grading term, and enter marks for your students in a class roster format.

Follow the steps below to submit marks for your students.

·  Launch Internet Explorer or Firefox.

·  Navigate to ZangleConnection (https://zangle.sandi.net/zangleconnect/).

·  Follow the steps in numerical order. Although Challenger Middle School is used as an example for the screenshots, the process is the same for your school.

How to Print a Mark Verification Report

You have the ability to print your own mark verification reports using ZangleConnection.

Follow the steps below to print a mark verification report.

  1. Log in to ZangleConnection (https://dwa.sis.sandi.net/zangleconnect/).
  2. Click the Zangle Reports link from the launchpad menu.
  3. Click TeacherConnection from the “Report Area.”
  4. From the list of reports on the left-hand side of the screen, select Class Marks Listing.
  1. Select the appropriate grading period from the Print Marks Listing For menu.
  1. Select a period/section from the Print Marks For menu. If you want to print reports for all classes, select “All Classes.”
  1. IMPORTANT! Enter the appropriate cut-off date in both fields. By entering the same date in both fields, it controls the list to include students who were in your class as of that date (the students to whom you were supposed to give grades). Ask your site tech if you do not know the cut-off date.
  1. Click Create Report. A new window will open. The report(s) will open with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You should be able to save or print the report(s) using the functions in the menu bar.

How to Print a List of Report Card Comments

You have the ability to print a list of report card comments using ZangleConnection.

Follow the steps below to print a list of report card comments.

  1. Log in to ZangleConnection (https://dwa.sis.sandi.net/zangleconnect/).
  1. Click the Zangle Reports link from the launchpad menu.
  2. Click TeacherConnection from the “Report Area.”
  3. From the list of reports on the left-hand side of the screen, select Report Card Comment Legend.
  1. Click Create Report. A new window will open. The report(s) will open with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You should be able to save or print the report(s) using the functions in the menu bar.

ALTERNATE METHOD: You can also click the Legend button in TeacherConnection on the Marks screen to access a Marks Legend that includes a list of comments. This legend can be printed by clicking the printer icon.
