Child Care Centre – Service Manager (Director)

Duties and Responsibilities

· Lead and educate the team in the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.

· Complete all licencing requirements to undertake the Supervising Officer role at the centre.

· Provide support and guidance to Leading Educators for the development or superior educational programs for children of the centre that build on the interests of the children and that promote children’s development.

· Oversee the management and operation of the centre.

· Manage, monitor and meet the centre budget requirements to maintain a financially viable business.

· Meet all financial administration and weekly reporting requirements striving to meet KPI’s of the centre.

· Calculate, collect, receipt and reconcile parent fees/payments maintaining centre systems.

· Ensure pro-active problem solving by all staff that leave customers satisfied and centre operations viable.

· Build a team who know the business, expose staff members to financial aspects of the centre operations, advising them of the centre KPI’s.

· Direct and manage all centre staff ensuring they are inducted, trained and able to fulfil their roles effectively.

Requirements

· Share the same philosophy regarding providing a safe and supportive environment for the children in our care.

· Have achieved an Advanced Diploma in Children Services or above.

· Already have or are prepared to nominate as a Certified or Nominated Supervisor.

· Knowledge of CCB.

· Must have Blue Card or Working with Children Card.

· Must have Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR.

Key Selection Criteria

· Proven ability in strong administration and organisational skills

· Be able to show a strong commitment to providing high quality of service for the children, families and the team

· Proven willingness to go beyond the call of duty

· An ability to comprehend and contribute to a financially viable business including understanding of financial documentation.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with children, families and your team

· Participate in the planning and preparation of programmes.

· Maintain a clean, hygienic environment for the children.

· Assist the room leader to maintain accurate records of children’s behaviour and report concerns.

· Provide exceptional customer service to parents when required.

Requirements

· Certificate 3 or equivalent qualification

· Must have First Aid Certificate

· Must have Blue Card or Working with Children Card.
