HR/IR Executive:

Main objective of the role: Supporting members with human resource, industrial relation, training management, implementation and management of internship policy, web recruitment and internship functions. Providing an IR and HR advisory service to CIF members and visiting regions to offer HR & IR support services on a scheduled basis.

Functions will include: Supporting Members in complying with all aspects of employment legislation. Assist and advise on collective bargaining and dispute resolution. Assist with uploading vacancies for CIF and members on the CIF website, including administering internship placements. Supports members with IR issues. Responsible for all aspects of training management. Attendance is required at exhibitions and public events in order to promote related CIF’s services.

Key skills required: High level of competence in the use of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint). Excellent verbal and written English. The right candidate must be able to act professionally and in confidence at all times. Must display leadership, be self-directed and demonstrate interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills. Must have a strong work ethic, and must have strong administrative skills. Must be willing and able to travel as required.

Applicants must have the following: Minimum tertiary qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations. Five years of work experience, preferably in an HR or IR capacity, preferably in the construction industry. Driving licence is a requirement as well as own car.
