Teacher input (15 min)
Introduce new topic.
Look at the different examples of vehicles on their table. Can they name them and identify what they are used for (their purpose) e.g. work, leisure, transporting, emergencies?
Do they all have the same number of wheels? Why not?
Why do they think the vehicles have different shapes (link to Science – future investigation)
Are their any other similarities and differences?
Ask the children to tell their partner any of the different parts on the vehicle are called.
Model the task.
