Lead Based Paint Hazard Control
ARIZONA
The City of Tucson will be awarded $ 2,300,000 in Lead Based Paint Hazard Control grant program funding and $ 180,000 in healthy homes supplemental funding for the identification and reduction of lead and healthy homes hazards. The City of Tucson will address lead hazard in 190 units providing safer homes for families. The City of Tucson will partner with the following: the City of Tucson Housing Authority, Applied Systems, Environmental Consulting Services, City of Tucson Section 8, Arizona Department of Health Services, El Rio Community Health Centers, and Tucson Housing Rehabilitation Collaborative, whose members include Tucson Urban League, Chicanos Por La Causa, Rebuild Together Tucson, Tucson Metropolitan Ministries Family Services, Community Home Repair Projects/Arizona, Pima Council On Aging, Direct Center for Independence, and Old Pueblo Community Services. CALIFORNIA
The State of California Department of Community Services and Development will be awarded $ 2,300,000 in Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control grant program funding for the identification and reduction of lead hazards in 275 housing units. The State of California will partner with the following with several community based organizations, the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Programs, and the local housing departments’ rehabilitation programs. The City of Long Beach will be awarded $ 2,299,996 in Lead Based Paint Hazard Control grant program funding and $ 180,000 in healthy homes supplemental funding for the identification and reduction of healthy homes hazards in 185 housing units providing safer homes for 580 families. CONNECTICUT
The Naugatuck Valley Health District will be awarded $ 2,300,000 in Lead Based Paint Hazard Control grant program funding and $ 180,000 in healthy homes supplemental funding for the identification and reduction of lead and healthy homes hazards in 200 housing units providing safer homes for children and families. The City will address lead hazards in 180 housing units providing safer homes for low and very low-income families with children. The City will also perform healthy homes assessments in 200 units.
