Monday

Language---Past Tense Irregular Verbs worksheet 35

Teacher will place worksheet 35 under the document camera and will model for students that some verbs use a different form of the word to tell the past tense and provide examples: feed, fed, take, took. Class will work together to match each present tense verb with its past tense verb form and also read given sentences and observe the present tense verb given for each sentence and write the past tense of the verbs given for each sentence.

Math Facts---7+ addition facts practice

Teacher will use flash cards and model for students how to count up or use doubles or doubles +1 strategies if possible to determine answers for 7+ facts. Students will practice the facts as teacher displays another round of the 7+ facts.

Tuesday

Teacher will place worksheet 36 under the document camera and will model for students that some verbs use a different form of a word to tell the past tense and provide example: write, wrote. Class will work together to read a group of past tense verbs and match these to its present tense verb. Students will also read given sentences and observe the present tense verb given for each sentence and write the past tense of the verbs given for each sentence.

Math Facts---7+ facts

Teacher will use flash cards and students will practice counting up, doubles, or doubles +1 strategy to find the sum for the 7+ facts.

Wednesday

Language---Past Tense Irregular Verbs worksheet 37

Teacher will place worksheet 37 under the document camera and will model for students that some verbs use a different form of a word to tell the past tense and provide example: sit, sat. Class will work together to read a group of past tense verbs and match these to its present tense verb. Students will also read a group of verbs and categorize verbs into the groups now or past based on the verb tense of each one.

Math Facts---7+ facts

Teacher will display a 7+ facts worksheet under the document camera and students will write down the 7+ facts and find the sum. Teacher will grade work and allow students to make corrections if needed.

Thursday

Language---Past Tense Verb Review worksheet 38

Teacher will place worksheet 38 under the document camera and students will work together to write the past tense form of present tense verbs given, match present and past tense verb forms, and read a given story and write past tense forms of verbs given to complete the story.

Math Facts---7+ facts

Teacher will display a 7+ facts worksheet under the document camera and students will write down the 7+ facts and find the sum. Teacher will grade work and allow students to make corrections if needed.

Friday

Language---Being Verbs (am, is, are) worksheet 39

Teacher will place worksheet 39 under the document camera and will model for students that the being verbs are am, is , and are and that they tell that something exists now. Teacher will give the following characteristics of when each verb is used: am comes after the word I, is tells about one noun or pronoun, and are can be used after the word you or with plural nouns or pronouns. Class will work together to read given sentences and determine which being verb needs to go into each sentence to make it complete.

Math Facts---Students will complete a timed assessment worksheet over the 7+ math facts

Nutrition---Class will explore nutrition links that Mr. Fugate has placed on our school’s website.
