1. Recommendations to Adjust Premiums for Medicare-Eligible Retirees
Motion (Ryland/Broussard) that the Committee table this item until the next meeting so that staff can provide the cost of the premium increase to the Board and the employees as compared to the savings achieved under the premium change for actives and provide an alternate premium schedule that caps the retiree-only increase at $40 and commensurately caps the other categories as well. Motion carried. Dugas is recorded as voting no.
2. Recommendation to Expand Medicare Advantage Options
Motion (Ryland/Fontenot) to recommend to the Board that the Humana HMO plan be offered alongside the Humana PPO as staff recommended. Motion carried. Broussard is recorded as voting no.
There being no further business, Chairperson Butch Mouton adjourned the meeting.
