Kristina Oniszko is the Resident Services Manager for UMOM New Day Centers’ Next Step Housing Program. In her position, she oversees all program services offered at UMOM’s five permanent, affordable housing communities. Additionally, to establishing program curricula Kristina is also responsible for cultivating relationships with K-12 schools, universities and other organizations to bridge gaps and enhance program service delivery. Prior to joining UMOM in 2009, she completed internships at Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, The Amy Biehl Foundation of South Africa, The Arizona Foundation for Women, Career Services at Arizona State University, and The University of Virginia’s Semester at Sea program.

Kristina graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Nonprofit and Public Administration in 2009 and earned her Master’s in Higher and Postsecondary Education in 2012. Kristina is a Certified Nonprofit Professional through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and continues to stay active in the community. She is currently serving as a Board Member for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Phoenix. She is also a member of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance’s Alumni and Scholarship Committee (formerly American Humanics), and is a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona. She previously served as the President of the Higher Education Student Association at Arizona State.

Kristina is a high-performing, strategic thinking professional with more than five years of youth and adult programming experience in the nonprofit and higher education sectors. She is extremely passionate about serving low-income communities and values the opportunities for continuous learning. She will continue her professional development and education as a part of ASU Lodestar Center's Generation Next Leadership Academy Class of 2012-2013. The Generation Next Leadership Academy is a cohort of the Valley's top emerging nonprofit leaders, selected through a competitive process, to participate in a nine-month leadership program that provides them the knowledge and tools needed to take on leadership roles within the nonprofit community.
