Keyboarding Class Rules

1. Students will come to class prepared to learn.

2. Students will work independently and talk only with permission.

3. Students will participate in class activities. This includes paying attention to lectures and demonstrations, participating in class discussion, taking notes, and typing daily warm-ups and assignments.

4. Your six weeks average will be based on Tests and Timed Writings (60%) and Technique & Production (40%).

5. Student work will be accepted _____ day(s) late with a 10-point deduction.

6. Students will complete all make-up work in class. No work from home will be accepted. When you are absent, it is your responsibility to get the assignment, complete it, and hand it in to your teacher. You may schedule time to complete make-up work with your teacher before school. The student hand book states that you have the same number of days that you were absent to complete the assignment.

7. Students will treat all computer equipment with great respect.

8. Students will keep hands off the keyboard and mouse while the teacher is presenting information to the class.

9. Students will refrain from rolling their chair around the classroom.

10. Students will remain in the selected program at all times. Using other programs or unauthorized internet sites will result in disciplinary action.

11. Test days for Keyboarding are Wednesday and Friday.
