Chair

In the Department of

Nursing

Position Responsibilities:

The chair of the nursing department is responsible for leading the programs, faculty, and activities within the Nursing Department. The department offers two tracks within the BSN degree: RN-to-BSN and pre-licensure. The chair will perform administrative duties, encourage and support faculty and staff development, promote and enhance current and future department programs, and ensure compliance with community partners, regulatory stakeholders and accreditation standards. This position will also have teaching responsibilities within the Nursing Department.

Qualifications:

Ø Commitment to the mission and values of a Lutheran University

Ø Master’s Degree in Nursing, Terminal Degree (Candidates nearing completion will be considered)

Ø Eligible for Minnesota Registered Nurse Licensure

Ø 5 years teaching experience preferred

Ø 3 years leadership experience preferred

Ø 3 years pre-licensure faculty or administrative expereince
