JOB LOCATION: DMC/FSDA

TASK/PROCEDURE / HAZARD / SAFE PROCEDURE
Lifting, moving, loading material, tools, and parts; i.e. material handling hoist / Struck by falling objects; multiple injury types
Contusions to hands and fingers
Eye injury from flying particles
Foot injury from falling objects
Head injury from falling objects / All overhead mechanical hoists must be inspected and certified annually. Ensure annual certification is current
Adequate safety training is required before operation
Safety training must include proper rigging techniques
Never exceed the maximum load capacity
Required PPE includes hard hat, eye protection, gloves, and safety footwear
Never allow workers under the load
