The National Mass Care exercise begins Monday, August 22nd – Aug 25th. The State of Iowa will be conducting a table top exercise at the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC). We will have a FEMA representative at the Iowa Table Top exercise.

· President Report: Amy DeCastro

Trish Burket reported for Amy that we will be meeting in Scott County for the Council Meeting. There will be a strategic planning meeting in October. It will be in person and will not have a conference call that day or regular business meeting. November will be the regular in-person meeting. December there will not be a council meeting. In January, we will resume our regular schedule.

· Secretary/Iowa HSEMD Update: Lindsey Mosher

Have been working with the Don Hampton Conference work group for event planning. We have sent the registration link out. We cannot incorporate options for meals on the registration site so we will send out a poll when the time gets closer. Tiffany Keimig wanted to remind everyone to send in their award nominations. Registrants will need to create an account on the website in order to register. The September meeting will be at the Scott County Emergency Operations Center at 1100 E. 46th St.

Davenport, IA 52807. We wanted to provide an opportunity for folks on that side of the state to attend a meeting in person. We are looking into having the local COAD speak at the meeting. August 22nd is the deadline for the award nominations.
