Title: “Heaven”

Introduction: 1. Straight Forward Verses About The Reality of Heaven

2. Lifelight, a glimpse of Heaven – Rev. 7:9 – “After this

I looked and there before me was a great multitude that

no, one could count, from every nation, tribe, people

and language, standing before the throne and in front of

the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were

holding palm branches in their hands.”

3. No Need to Be Frightened, Because Heaven is The

Destination For All Christians!

4. We were meant to spend a little moment here on this

earth but our destination for eternity is Heaven!

1. Heaven! Be Certain Of Your Reservation In That Heavenly Place!

Scripture: I John 5:11-13 – “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Vs. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. Vs. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.”

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:4-5 – “For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is moral may be swallowed up by life. Vs. 5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

2. Heaven! Is Your Name Written Down?

Scripture: Phil. 4:3 – “Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in THE BOOK OF LIFE.

Scripture: Rev. 3:5 – “He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.”

3. Heaven! God Has Called You Heavenward!

Scripture: Phil 3:14 – “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

4. Heaven, Is God’s Dwelling Place And He Wants You There!

Scripture: Deuteronomy 26:15 – “Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath to our forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Scripture: Matthew 6:9 – “This, then, is how you should pray; Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,…”

5. Heaven! Home Sweet Home! No Need For A Health Club!

Scripture: Phil 3:20-21 – “But our citizenship is in heaven, And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enable him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”

6. Heaven’s Chamber Of Commerce States: A Warm, Welcoming Place!

Scripture:Hebrews 12: 22-24 – “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

7. Heaven Speaks!

Scripture: Matthew 3:16 – 17 “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water, At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. Vs. 17 And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’”

8. Heaven! A Place Where Jesus Is Coming Down From!

Scripture: I Thessalonians 4:15 – 18 – “According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. Vs. 16 For the Lord himself will COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Vs. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, And so we will be with the Lord forever. Vs. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Scripture: Acts 1:9-11 – “After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. Vs. 10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. Vs. 11 Men of Galilee, they said, who do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into HEAVEN, will come back I the same way you have seen him go into HEAVEN.”

Conclusion:

Think of –

Stepping on shore, and finding it Heaven!

Of taking hold of a hand, and finding it God’s hand.

Of breathing a new air, and finding it celestial air.

Of feeling invigorated, and finding it immortality.

Of passing from storm to tempest to an unknown calm.

Of waking up, and finding it Home.

2 Peter 3:9-10 – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Vs. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”
