Call for Papers - ‘Bridges and Structures Sustainability - Seeking Intelligent Solutions’
IABSE Conference Guangzhou, China, May 8-11, 2016
The IABSE Conference 'Bridges and Structures Sustainability-Seeking Intelligent Solutions' will be held from May 8-11, 2016 in Guangzhou, China. This IABSE Conference is hosted by the Chinese Group of IABSE , Guangzhou University, Tongji University and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Authority. The Organising Committee is co-chaired by Jie Cui and Yaojun Ge and the Scientific Committee is co-chaired by Limin Sun, China and Quanke Su, Hong Kong.
This Conference will be a gathering of professional engineers, researchers and public agenciesfrom around the world to exchange their ideas and share their experiences on various aspects of sustainable structures and explore the future of intelligent solutions especially for design, construction and maintenance of major projects.
Themes and Topics
- Structural Sustainability: Innovative design concepts and frameworks; green civil engineering; sustainability metrics and indices; quality control, durability, arid robustness.
- Intelligent Solutions: BIM and BrlM; structural control and monitoring; intelligent construction and maintenance technologies; disaster prevention and resilience.
- High-performance Materials: Smart materials; high-performance concrete and steel; new materials.
- Challenges in Major Projects: Sea-crossing bridges and tunnels; high-speed railway bridges; high-rises and towers; large-space structures.
Authors interested to present a paper in accordance with the Theme and Topics are invited to submit an abstract not exceeding 300 words in English by June 30, 2015, via: www.iabse.org/Guangzhou2016.
