Internal Audit Executive of the Year

Eligibility and Selection Criteria: Each nominee should exemplify leadership, business acumen, commitment to the industry and community service. To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be a member of the Detroit Chapter of the IIA and have demonstrated:

1. Internal Audit leadership in their position, industry, community, etc.;

2. Support of IIA standards and compliance with the IIA code of conduct

3. Commitment and clear contributions to the professional practice of Internal Auditing (IA);

4. Active involvement in support of the community;

5. Support and/or advocacy of the importance of lifelong learning

6. Involvement in Internal Audit thought leadership initiatives and/or innovation;

The Internal Audit Executive of the Year Award was established in 2012 to recognize proven leadership skills, exceptional achievement in business and significant contribution to the community, including a desire to work with others to foster lifelong learning through involvement in various thought leadership initiatives.

You have been nominated for this prestigious award and are encouraged to provide your nominator with information about your achievements that enhance your potential to receive the award.

Please also read and complete this Release Form that indicates your agreement to be nominated under the following conditions:

1. That your name continues to stand as a nominee for the Internal Audit Executive of the Year Award (IAEYA) until such time as the Selection Committee deems otherwise.

2. That if selected, you attend the Audit Executive of the Year Dinner (usually scheduled the second Tuesday of May) and deliver a keynote address (based on your knowledge of the subject area for which you have been nominated for this award).

3. That if possible, you attend the following year’s Audit Executive of the Year Dinner to introduce the next recipient and present the award to the successor;
