Instructions for Local Scholarships 2015

1. Be sure to check all deadlines and have scholarships in early. Do not wait until last day.

2. If a scholarship requires GPA, ACT scores, and/or Transcripts; Ms. Miracle will take care of after you turn the scholarship into the guidance office.

3. Be sure to check all eligibility requirements before filling out the scholarship.

4. Be sure to read both sides of each scholarship application so that you complete each application.

5. If a scholarship requires a recommendation letter, please give teachers/counselors/principals ample time to write and submit the letter on your behalf.

6. If a scholarship asks you for a career choice or your expected major in college be sure to put something other than undecided. Even if your career or major may change, scholarship committees like to see that you have plans for the future.

7. All scholarship applications should be typed or neatly written in ink , do not use pencil. Applicants are reminded to include only documents that the application requests.

8. Be sure to continue to listen to all announcements for other scholarship opportunities. Also, once you have selected a college be sure to contact their scholarship office for any possible scholarship opportunities.

9. All scholarships should be turned into the guidance office, unless otherwise noted on the application.
