  • How does the nominee promote respect, integrity and courtesy among others and contribute to a positive team environment
  • How does the nominee make his/her/their coworkers and othersat UMMS feel important and valued
  • In summary, why do you feel this person deserves this award

  • Successful outcomes in the recruitment and retention of faculty, staff and students related to diversity
  • Created or established models of cultural diversity and inclusion to enhance the UMMS system
  • Created new and progressive best practices that support the diversity of the University
  • Supported, promoted and developed an inclusive environment for career development
  • Published scholarly work in the areas of multiculturalism, inclusion or diversity
  • Contributed to diversity efforts in building permanent structures and programs showing progress toward a sustained and continued effort University wide
  • Exhibits visionary and insightful leadership to confront and resolve inequities
