Iffy Envelope Instructions

Supplies:

· 300 Index Cards

· 60 envelopes

· 15 mini staplers (fully loaded)

· Writing tools

· Whistle

· Timer

· Communicate with leaders to bring at least 5 business cards

Instructions:

· First take 5 index cards and 1 blank envelope

· Attach one of your business cards to the front of each index card

· Prepare a “What if” question, based on your organization (Example: What if your membership is declining?)

· Write your name and the “What if” question on the face of a blank envelope.

· Pass your envelope to someone you have not met or someone who you think might have a good suggestion for your particular question

· When prompted, read the “What if” question in your hand, suggest a resolution and write it on one of your index cards and place it back in the envelope

· Continue to pass the envelopes to someone you think would be knowledgeable about the question and respond to “What if” questions for 5 rotations.

· After 5th rotation, find your envelope and go back to your seat

· Review the suggestions in the envelope

· Share the best ones with your table

· Give time to open the sharing to the larger group (3-5)
