Job Description
Wells Fargo Audit Services is looking to fill an IT Senior Auditor position to perform design and control testing of technologies (applications, databases, middleware, some operating systems) supporting the Consumer Lending and Corporate Technology systems. Key job responsibilities for this position include the following:
· Responsible for demonstrating professional skepticism while performing major components of audits within WF business activities; executing and documenting work in accordance with Wells Fargo Audit Services (WFAS) policy; identifying and testing controls and/or compensating controls that mitigate audit findings and making recommendations to management; developing ways to improve existing audit practices.
· Assessing technical controls related to application, middleware and database configuration, and related technologies.
· Participates in projects as directed, exhibiting an understanding of the technical architecture.
· May lead smaller scale audits/projects after demonstrates sufficient knowledge of process / tools. Able to design and execute tests to verify control effectiveness.
· Informs manager of situational issues that might compromise objectivity and/or independence.
· Travel: Up to 15%
Desired Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications:
1+ years audit experience or 1+ years’ work experience which included one or more of the audit skill set of control testing or control and risk identification or analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated IT audit, information security OR technical experience with technology focuses such as:
· Application development and support (e.g., systems development lifecycle, application security design, secure coding practices, change & problem management, performance monitoring, etc.);
· Technical ability to be able to test configurable components against a security baseline for various technology layers (e.g. middleware, databases, operating systems, etc.) and effectively discuss deviations with technologists
· Security administration and segregation of duties
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in computer information systems or a related field
· Candidate should demonstrate solid analytical and communication skills, plus the ability to learn new technologies quickly
· Designation (or candidate) for CISA, CISM and/or CISSP
