SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

1. TITLE OF COMPETITION:

The competition will be known as GASKIN FORD & MAZDA Street Sprint.

2. THE PROMOTERS:

3. DATE & TIME:

The competition will be held on Sunday 22nd October 2006 with a compulsory drivers briefing at the start line at 9.00am.

Competition will commence immediately following drivers briefing.

4. STATUS OF COMPETITION:

The competition is a Clubsport Advanced Event held in accordance with the National Sporting Code of MotorSport New Zealand Inc. and these Supplementary Regulations and any Additional Supplementary Regulations.

THIS EVENT IS A ROUND OF DUNCAN MCKENZIE SERIES. The MSNZ Permit Number is TBA

5. VENUE:

The venue for the competition is Port Road, Seaview incorporating Barnes & Meachen Streets. There will be a map at the start line on Sunday morning.

The surface is sealed and approximately 2.0km in length.

7. NUMBER OF STARTERS:

One competing car will be permitted on the course at any one time

8. ENTRIES:

An entry fee of $70.00 MUST accompany the official entry form and be received by the Secretary before 5.00pm on WEDNESDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2006.

LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UP UNTIL 4PM SATURDAY 21st OCTOBER 2006. LATE ENTRY FEE IS $120

The onus is on the competitor to ensure their entry forms are posted to the correct address.

Cheques are to be made payable to The Hutt Valley Motorsport Club Inc.

ENTRY IS RESTRICTED TO 60 COMPETITORS ONLY

PLEASE BE ADVISED: As per the decision of the organizers, NO SINGLE SEATER CARS WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THIS EVENT.

Entries will be receipted in order received and no acceptances will be sent.

Should the number of entries exceed 60 the organisers will compile a Reserve Entry List. Reserve Entrants will be required to attend Safety Audit & Documentation as usual.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than 30 entries are received at normal closing date.

9. SAFETY AUDIT & DOCUMENTATION:

Safety Audit, as per Appendix 5, Schedule C of the NZ Motorsport Manual Edition 33, will be held on Saturday 21st October 2006 at Total Performance Centre, Petone Ave, Petone, between 2.00pm- 4.00pm.

IF YOU CANNOT BE AVAILABLE FOR SCRUTINEERING, YOU MUST ADVISE THE

ORGANISER PRIOR TO 2PM SATURDAY 21st OCTOBER 2006.

Documentation will be held in conjunction with safety audit.

ALL DRIVERS MUST POSSESS AND PRODUCE FOR INSPECTION THE FOLLOWING:

a) Current Civil Drivers Licence

b) Current MotorSport NZ Competition Licence, minimum Clubsport status

c) Current MotorSport NZ affiliated car club membership card

d) Crash Helmet & Overalls as specified in the current MotorSport NZ Manual

e) Fire Extinguisher

f) Tyres to be used for the event

NOTE: AS PER APP 2 SCH A 4.8 (3) (a) & (b)

NO SLICK TYRES CAN BE USED AT THIS EVENT

All vehicles MUST display the safety audit sticker provided during competition.

All vehicles MUST be presented in a clean & tidy condition.

All vehicles MUST be fitted with an effective muffler.

This year you will be able to take passengers for a ride, if the car complies with Appendix 5, Schedule C, this means that of course cars with rollcages only, but they still must meet the required standards. There is a box on the attached entry form, which you must tick if you wish to carry passengers. PLEASE NOTE: scrutineering is compulsory for vehicles carrying passengers. NOTE: Competitors MUST supply correct helmet and overalls. Both sets must be available for inspection at scrutineering.

10. PRACTICE:

Following drivers briefing ALL competitors will be required to make one reconnaissance tour in convoy.

Practise will then follow

11. OFFICIAL RUNS:

It is intended that all competitors will have the same number of official timed runs, except that where a competitor fails to start when required, that competitor will forfeit that run. It is intended to run three official timed runs.

Competitors will be required to run in numerical order. Should a competitor fail to do so, without dispensation from the Clerk of the Course, the competitor will forfeit that run.

12. BEHAVIOUR:

Competitors will drive considerately and gently except when competing.

Competitors are requested to ensure the parking and pit areas are left in a clean and tidy state.

Failure to comply with the above may result in exclusion from the results.

Competitors are requested to refrain from the temptation to familiarize themselves with the course prior to competition.

Although the organisers are unable to prevent competitors from visiting the location we would remind them that road closures are not easy to obtain and abuse of this privilege will not be tolerated.

13. PROTESTS:

Protests will be in accordance with the National Sporting Code.

14. CLASSES:

The following classes will apply:-

A 0-1300cc

B 1301-1600cc

C 1601-2000cc

D 2001cc-Over

15. AFTER FUNCTION & PRIZEGIVING:

Following the event clean up there will be a prizegiving at the HVMC clubrooms, Halford Place, Petone.

16.____SPECTATING

THERE WILL BE NO SPECTATING AREAS. (Marshals required, if you can lend a hand this will be the only way to watch the event).
