How to Screen Capture and Embed a Wordle onto your Wiki page (IF YOU ARE PATIENT, VERY PATIENT!!!):

  1. Create your Wordle (obviously)
  2. Save your Wordle
  3. When viewing your saved Wordle, click to open in a new window
  1. Once in the bigger window, use your “print screen” or “prt sc” (you may have to hold down the “fn” while pressing the “prt sc” key) button on the keyboard to capture the screen as you see it
  2. This function will save the viewable (what you see) screen image to your clipboard

NOW THE FUN BEGINS……...not really!

  1. Open up any program on your computer that will allow you to edit pictures
  2. i.e.: Paint (that’s what I used)
  3. start button on taskbar…accessories…(possibly programs)….ah ha àPAINT
  4. Paste your screen image from step 4 onto your blank image
  1. Save your pasted image as a jpeg file

and name it whatever you would like!

  1. I used a web site PICNIK to edit my photo and then saved it from the website to my computer
  2. You will need to upload the photo that you saved on paint and now want to edit
  3. I also used the same file name and saved over my original
  1. Go back into paint and open up your saved jpeg
  2. Crop out the side and bottom bars from the image so that only the image remains
  3. OBVIOUSLY SAVE the new image
  4. Open up your WIKI page so that you can edit
  1. Go into file tab…

Insert files……Upload files……Select your WORDLE file

  1. Now you can resize and adjust the image on your edit WIKI page
  2. REMEMBER TO SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!!!

CONGRATULATIONS…..this grueling process is done!
