  • Vote on and ratify the document posted on the Sharepoint
  • Request to distribute that document via email prior to meeting Erich G
  • Need to make some additional tweaks to replace “compliance” with “conformance”
  • Utility members expected to review prior to meeting and come prepared with final comments/ready to discuss and vote
  • Reference Design
  • Erich G suggests this be taken up by OpenAMI based on utility feedback during the last biweekly call
  • Could be a work item for a technology-specific sub group if those are adopted
  • CEC participant in last OpenHAN call decided they should try to work this through another group

  • Jerry G and Matt G see need to talk about interfaces outside the meter
  • James P points out that we’ve implicitly drawn it in the architectural drawings and that the ZigBee Alliance has a timeframe for comments on its IP Gateway work

  • Erich G suggests a work item that specifies requirements for connecting HANs to the utility through public networks

  • This is AEP’s main goal for Smart Grid initiatives
  • Discussion of the various elements of where a CIM applies (EnterpriseHAN)
  • OpenHAN role is to define requirements for other existing CIM groups (IEC, UCAIug) to implement
  • OpenHAN provides domain expertise to existing groups
  • Idea of establishing a liaison to these groups

  • Erich G: This is a shell group that is a holding group for the OpenAMI and UtilityAMI and all task forces
