Holiday Gift Ideas

You can purchase large corsage bags at Michaels or a floral wholesaler. They are so much more convenient that using rolls of cellophane or shrink wrap. All of the small gift ideas can be placed right down in the bags and drawn up with a small bow at the top. Invest in a paper shredder to create shred for your baskets and to place in the bottom of the corsage bags before the items are set in. You can be creative with the colors of tissue or paper you use in the shredder. Mugs from any dollar store, garlands of Christmas pine/holly, premade bows, and small ornaments all add an extra touch to the gifts you are creating.

Snowman Soup

Hand creams, shave creams, placed in a coffee mug with the ingredients of the

Snowman Soup along with a cute snowman ornament from the dollar store with the attached gift tags that have the poem and “soup” ingredients listed. This item is in a hot first place with my Sugar and Spice creations!

12 Days of Christmas Tree

A variation to the traditional basket of gifts that we have used, this new concept can be used as a centerpiece all through the holiday season! You can purchase the small silk Christmas Trees from the Dollar Tree and decorate them with small wrapped gifts that are numbered 1-12 and placed at random on the tree so the recipient has to search each day for her gift! Ideas for the gifts are eyeshadows, dual end applicators, Satin Lips (each wrapped separately), Eye Gel, Eye Primer, Eye Cream, nail polish, lip gloss and lipstick, cheek color, Lip Protector, Lip Outliner, and the list goes on! The tree can be purchased from $125 up, depending on what you use.

Hand Cream Ideas

For many years I have created three easy, inexpensive Hand Cream ideas for my customers to purchase for the following people:

Teacher-Hand Cream wrapped in colored cellophane with tule tied around, and a

ribbon with two Christmas pencils twisted in the bow.

Secretary-Hand Cream wrapped in colored cellophane with tule tied around, and

a ribbon with an emery board, Certs or other mints, or a nice writing

pen.

Homemaker or Gardener-Hand Cream wrapped in a pot holder, or garden gloves

Energizing Foot and Leg Cream

Cream can be placed in a cute Christmas stocking, or with a pair of Christmas socks. Walmart has peppermint candles that can be used with peppermint candies on a candle plate with the Leg Cream for “Peppermint Twist.” This gift idea also sets inside a large corsage bag nicely.

Eyesicles

Eye shadows with candy sticks from the candy section of Michaels or other craft store. The stick goes in the eyeshadow box with the eyeshadow taped on the outside of the box, and clear cellophane gathered tightly at the base with a small silver bow. The color of the eyeshadow shows through so customers can choose which one they want. I do not like the looks of craft sticks. The candy sticks are slender and white with a clean lollipop look!

Shave Cream Guys and Gals

Shave creams take on their own personalities with these cute little gifts! Purchase baby crew socks, wiggly eyes or tinsel pipe cleaners shaped for eyes and mouth, and fleece. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a fleece baby blanket from the dollar store and cut it in 1” wide, 8”long strips. Cut narrow short strips into the fleece on the ends for a tassle look. This is placed around the “neck” of the shave cream.

Merry “Kiss-mas!”

Satin Lips sets with candy kisses placed in small baskets, Christmas containers, or mugs set down inside a corsage bag with a bow -perfect for men and women alike!
