A Message from the Early College Staff:
December is here and the first semester is almost over. This is the time of year that we find we need to remind parents and students of the expectations of Early College. As you may recall, parents signed an Early College Contract when your child was accepted into the program. There are three key areas to remember:
·  Parents will support all appropriate interventions made on the child’s behalf to encourage academic achievement.
·  Parents expect their child will follow all RCS school rules and guidelines regarding behavior, including at all EC events, fieldtrips, and learning experiences.
·  Parents will support the RCS EC requirements that students will maintain a grade point average of 2.5 – 4.0. If the student has a grade below a “C” in any core course work, the student will be placed on academic probation and gain academic support (tutoring) and stay for Study Table.
We go over these expectations on a regular basis, but find it necessary for parents to also go over these expectations with their child. We need your support to ensure this program provides the best for your child. / Important Dates
