Hall Committee Meeting Minutes

Monday, March 21, 2016 7:00 PM meeting 2 – Room 25

Attendance – Dorothy Peters, Jordan Peters, Kaitlyn Hofer, Tracy Plaitin, Chelsea Gitzel, Lorraine Girouard, Roxanne Girouard, Maddi Sherritt, Marnie Sherritt, Candice Valliant, Bailey Gitzel, Susan Kenyon, Lori Banman, Betty-Ann Major

Agenda:

1. Review of decoration ideas from last meeting. Still good with an old classic movie theme. Colour scheme to fall into black, gold, royal blue.

2. Theme decorating ideas continued from last meeting:

“We’re a B16 Deal” incorporating the 16 into the wording.

3. Decoration specifics regarding different areas (starting ideas):

· NE corner of hall – Photo booth with director’s chair, movie props, boas, top hats, movie clapper (“take 5”).

· SE corner of hall – Mural. Group to bring back mural ideas for the next meeting. Idea around a Chinese Theatre with stars.

· SW corner of hall – VIP Lounge concept. Sign, lights, pillars with Champaign tray.

· Entrance –Red Carpet with Ropes, Hollywood Sign over door, Clapper (take 5)

· Table Settings – Wine bottle – gold paint, floating candles. Several grads sent with centre vases to make samples of possible settings. Try to determine setting for next meeting.

· Stage – Nothing decided at this time

· Back Wall – “We’re a B16 Deal!”

· Green Screen off to the side and brought out for during the prom.

Big balloons – gold, silver, red, blue, white
