WEEK OF FEBRUARY 15, 2016

REMINDERS

1.  Our school day begins at 7:45. Please have your child at school on time. It is a disruption to everyone when you child arrives late. It’s not fair to your child, nor the other children. When students are late, they are missing important things and the other students’ learning is being interrupted!

2.  Continue to flash addition AND subtraction flash cards every night.

3.  Students are only allowed to have 100% fruit juice in their lunches!!

4.  The words on the back of this page are all of the vocabulary words we have learned this year. Your child should be able to read these words fluently. They should also be able to use them in sentences. Practice writing a statement, a question, and an exclamation every night.

Monday

Reading/Spelling/ Grammar Read “Beaver’s Green Treat” and “Little Rabbit’s Tale”. Discuss stories/questions, review all 6 robust words and the spelling words on Lesson 19 study guide. Math – We will model, read, and write numbers from 100 to 110. Complete Les 6.9 homework pgs. 383 – 384.

Tuesday

Reading/Spelling/ Grammar Read “Beaver’s Green Treat” and “Little Rabbit’s Tale”. Discuss stories/questions, review all 6 robust words and the spelling words on Lesson 19 study guide. Complete worksheet. Tests tomorrow!

Math – We will model, read, and write numbers from 110 to 120, Les. 6.10.

Wednesday

Reading/Spelling/ Grammar Read “Beaver’s Green Treat” and “Little Rabbit’s Tale”.

Math – We will model, read, and write numbers from 110 to 120. Complete Les 6.10 homework pgs. 389 – 390.

Thursday

Reading/Spelling/Grammar - Read “Kids Play”. Discuss story/questions, review 1st 3 robust words and the spelling words on Lesson 20 study guide.

Math – We will review Chapter 6. Test tomorrow!

Friday

Reading/Spelling/Grammar - Read “Kids Play” and “Ways People Live”. Discuss stories/questions, review 1st 3 robust words and the spelling words on Lesson 20 study guide.

Math – We completed the Chapter 6 Test today.
