Guidance for Student Delegates / Faculty Delegates Traveling to West Point
By Air If traveling by air, please make arrangements to fly to/from Newark International Airport (EWR) in Newark, NJ or Stewart International Airport (SWF) in New Windsor, NY. Your arrival times must be on 16 October 2011 NLT 6:00 P.M. Your departure times must be on 20 October 2011 between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Please forward your flight plans/itinerary to Mr. Carl LaCascia () so that the necessary ground transportation to and from West Point is arranged.
At Newark International Airport When you arrive at the Newark International Airport (EWR), you will need to get to Terminal A. If you arrive in Terminal B or C, you will board the AirTrain (no cost) and take a 2-4 minute ride to Terminal A. Once at Terminal A, you must locate the West Point LNO and West Point Cadet staff who will be centrally located at the information booth or at the baggage claim conveyor belts to guide you to West Point buses located outside of Terminal A1 in the Terminal A Bus Parking area. Signs will be posted in the Baggage Claim areas of each terminal directing conference attendees to the Terminal A Bus parking area. Buses will be transporting NCEA participants to West Point at regular intervals. If you are having travel difficulties, please contact our Transportation POC, SFC Morgan at (845) 891-6597, or call the West Point Central Guard Room at (845) 938-3030.
SFC Morgan and Cadet Representatives will be positioned at Terminal A and will be in military uniform.
At Stewart International Airport: When you arrive at the Stewart International Airport (SWF), you must locate the Cadet Duty Driver who will be located near the baggage claim conveyor belts wearing a white collared shirt and gray pants. We will have a Cadet Duty Drivers with a 15 Passenger Vans transporting NCEA mentors to West Point as needed. Since most NCEA mentors and delegates will arrive at Newark International Airport, there will be no dedicated Active Duty Military personnel at Stewart International Airport to receive conference attendees. If you arrive at Stewart Airport and are unable to locate the Cadet Duty Driver, please contact Central Guard Room at (845) 938-3030 or (845) 515-3030
