Dear Madam/Sir,
Vietnam has just finished negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with the EU (EVFTA) at the end of 2015. Together with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, the EVFTA is expected to create big impacts on institutions and policies of Vietnam in the coming time, including the Government Procurement (GP).
While Vietnam has never made any international commitment on GP before, the EVFTA is considered to have highest commitments on GP among new FTAs of Vietnam. Therefore, in implementing these commitments, Vietnam is expected to have to modify and adjust its related domestic laws and regulations.
With the support of the Embassy of United Kingdom and North Ireland in Vietnam, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has conducted a research on Reviewing Vietnamese laws and regulations against EVFTA commitments on GP.
