v Whenever you have a question about anything at NYU, a good place to start is the search box on the upper right corner of www.nyu.edu. v Library (they have excellent tours and free workshops and classes): http://library.nyu.edu/. The Education librarian is Scott Collard, , and the Hebrew and Judaic Studies librarian is Evelyn Ehrlich, . You should get to know them! Also, you can rent a laptop for 3 hours at LL1 of the Bobst Library (macs or PCs), and there are lockers available to rent there.

v You can print for a small fee in the computer lab on the 4th floor of the Kimmel Center, 35 W. 4th St., 2nd Floor, 14 Washington Place Lab, 75 3rd Avenue, Level C3, Weinstein Hall, 1st Floor. There is also a computer room in the basement of the KJCC, which you will have swipe access to. The printers don’t work very well in there.

v A few great doctoral resources: Nancy Hall () is Steinhardt’s doctoral student guru, and the doctoral handbook is especially helpful: http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/scmsAdmin/uploads/003/978/Doctoral%20Handbook%202009-2010.pdf.

v Good study spot: The Kimmel Center has a large commuter lounge on the second floor, which can be a great place to have group meetings or do reading/work between classes.

v Another good study spot: The Skirball department is located in the King Juan Carlos Center (KJCC), and it has a few lounges & a library.

v Join Ticket Central to save money on movies, Broadway shows, and great events all over NYC! The box office is located in Kimmel, and you can subscribe to their listserv by going here http://www.nyu.edu/ticketcentral/ and entering your email on the right side.

v Use the program listservs – you all have the ability to post directly to them!

v Kosher food: The Kosher Dining Hall is located in the Weinstein building, 5 University Place, off the North-East Corner of Washington Square Park. University Pita is at 21 E. 12th St. Btwn 5th and University.
