Plano Symphony Orchestra presents – “DISNEY IN CONCERT – Magical Music from the Movies”
September 24, 2012, Plano, TX – The Plano Symphony Orchestra and Hector Guzman, Conductor, will present DISNEY IN CONCERT: Magical Music from the Movies at the Eisemann Center at 8:15 PM on Saturday, October 20th with a special matinee performance at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 21. Come be enchanted by DISNEY IN CONCERT: Magical Music from the Movies with projected clips, still cells and storyboard art from the films, and four leading vocalists. Every new generation has a favorite Disney musical, whether it’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, or The Lion King. And then there are the classics, from a Mary Poppins medley to the “Yo ho” of Pirates of the Caribbean. When everyone joins together for memorable moments and melodies that Mouseketeers of all ages know by heart, it feels like a small world, after all.
Families can experience the fun of Disney during the special matinee performance of DISNEY IN CONCERT: Magical Music from the Movies on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm. A fun-filled afternoon awaits you and your children. This shortened one-hour presentation features the Disney vocalists but is designed for kids ages 3-10. Favorite Disney costumes are encouraged! Special pre-concert lobby activities unique to this concert begin at 2:15 pm. You and your family will have a magical time experiencing great music, and for less than the cost of a movie!
