VYATEK SPORTS Licenses its ExoGrid® Technology to Scorpion Lacrosse
Tempe, AZ (May 16, 2007) – VYATEK SPORTS announces the signing of a worldwide exclusive licensee agreement for its ExoGrid Technology (and its complimentary Bi/Fusion TM metal bonding technology) to Scorpion Lacrosse LLC.
VYATEK CEO/President Howard Lindsay says, “This project has been in development for 2-years and the culmination of that effort is an exciting new product line based on our unique ExoGrid Technology. We’re thrilled to extend our technologies to the rapidly growing lacrosse market, especially with a new partner (Scorpion) that shares our passion for innovation and product excellence.”

The initial Scorpion product line is based on the patented ExoGrid technology that combines the best attributes of advanced composites with those of traditional metals. The technology allows designers to push the performance envelope of weight critical, strength driven structures that require high-impact resistance and unique damping (or feel).
ExoGrid structures start with a base metal (such as aluminum or titanium) part that has a major portion of its surface area removed though advanced machining techniques, such as laser machining. The resulting lightweight metal shell is then fused with an advanced composite inner structure using a secondary high temperature/pressure process trade named Bi/Fusion.
ExoGrid is available exclusively through VYATEK SPORTS or their affiliate licensees. VYATEK is a technology incubator that develops new advanced materials related technologies that are then branded and used to create state-of-the-art products that are then sold through VYATEK’S network of sales & marketing affiliates.
These companies operate in a wide variety of global markets, such as; racquet sports, bicycling, golf, baseball/softball, skiing, wheelchairs, golf, motor sports and lacrosse.
