CAA NIAGARA FLORIDA VACATION CONTEST

1. CONTEST RULES

There are two ways to enter:

Log in to www.caa.niagara.net and fill in a contest ballot on line between 12:01 a.m. EST, Monday April 1, 2005 and 11:59 p.m. EST, April 30, 2006 and you will automatically receive one (1) contest entry.

Mail to CAA Niagara “Florida Vacation Contest”, 3271 Schmon Parkway, Thorold, ON L2V 4Y6 an original, unduplicated hand-drawn CAA card, along with your name, complete address and home telephone number, during the contest period and you will receive one (1) contest entry. Entries must be mailed in a separate envelope with sufficient postage and received by the contest closing date of 11:59 p.m. EST, April 30, 2006. Maximum one entry per household.

2. GRAND PRIZE DRAW

There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded, consisting of:

A trip for a family of four (4) to St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area, located on the central west coast of Florida. CanJet will provide return economy transportation from Hamilton, Ontario. The flight is valid until May 1, 2007 and includes all taxes and surcharges. All four roundtrip passes must be on the same scheduled flight and the same scheduled time. A Dec. 15, 2006 to Jan. 6, 2007 “blackout” period applies. CanJet Airlines will not be responsible for route cancellations or schedule adjustments. CanJet Airlines will offer alternate departure and/or arrival destination should cancellations of a route or schedule adjustment occur.

Lodging for the winning family will consist of seven (7) nights in a one (1) bedroom Courtyard Suite at the Alden Beach Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida. Room will be based on quad occupancy and is valid until May 1, 2007. Accommodations are not available during February, March and April or holiday periods. The winning family will be responsible for meals, tips and other expenses. The family will be provided with a Hertz compact rental car for a period of seven (7) days. Winner must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver’s licence and insurance. Gasoline and insurance costs are not included.

All necessary travel documents and other requirements will be the responsibility of each traveller.

Approximate Total Value of the Grand Prize is $6000 CAD. Flight, accommodation and rental car are offered as a package, and not necessarily as individual prizes.

There will also be 12 monthly prizes awarded each consisting of:

A CAA Niagara one-year basic membership ($63 retail value) and a St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Beach Bag ($10 retail value)

3. DRAW SCHEDULE

Random draws for the Monthly Prizes will be conducted for twelve (12) months starting April 30th, 2005 by an independent judging organization in St Catharines, Ontario from all eligible entries received between 12:01 a.m. EST on the first day of the month and before 11:59 p.m. EST on the last day of each month, concluding April 30, 2006. The draw in each case will take place the Monday following the aforementioned days at 2:00 p.m. Maximum one Monthly Prize per person. Monthly winners as well as all unselected entries from each of the Monthly Prize draws will be eligible for the remaining Grand Prize draw. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash.

In order to be declared a winner, selected entrants must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question by phone or by mail. Each winner and Grand Prize travelling companion (or their parent/legal guardian if a minor) will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules, acceptance of the prizes as awarded and releasing the Sponsors from all liability. No substitution or exchanges of the prizes by entrants will be allowed. All prizes will be delivered only to confirmed winners. CAA Niagara, CanJet, the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Area CVB, Alden Beach Resort and Hertz reserve the right to change or substitute any prizes listed above with prizes of equivalent or greater value.

4. The contest is open to all residents of the Regional Municipality of Niagara, over the age of majority with a valid driver’s licence, except employees of CAA, CanJet, the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Area CVB, Alden Beach Resort and Hertz (“Sponsors”) and their affiliated companies, their advertising agencies, the independent judging organization, and all persons with whom they are domiciled.

5. All decisions of the independent judging organization are final. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the appropriate closing date for each draw. The Sponsors assume no responsibility for entries that are lost, stolen misdirected, destroyed or delayed. The Sponsors reserve the right to change the terms of this contest or terminate it at any time, without prior notice.

6. All entries become the property of CAA Niagara and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants who will be notified by mail or telephone. Entrants, by entering this contest, agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and consent to the use of their name, photograph, and/or hand-drawn CAA card, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by the Sponsors in connection with this contest.

7. By entering this contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information by the Sponsors for the purpose of implementing, administering and fulfilling this contest and future electronic communications.

8. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.

9. The rules of the contest will be available for review at all CAA Niagara locations.

10. All entries become the property of the Sponsors, which assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsors on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or down loading any material in the promotion. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion to cancel or suspend the e-mail portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final.
